Soβ¦ September. For a lot of us, it’s the end of summer days, the days are getting shorter, the nights are getting colder, the schools are opening their doors. It’s a perfect time to start planning your days a little more, to organize your life again.
In order to start organizing using your Bullet journal, first, you need is a theme. That’s where I come in: with a list of ideas for an easy September Bullet journal theme. So, check it out!

Art Deco

No month this year can go without the Art Deco theme. Well, not just because of the twenties but because it is really simple to make and looks amazing! All you need is a ruler and a pen. I add golden letters just to add a bit of spark and make this easy September Bullet journal theme a bit more dazzling.
Bubbles

No one can deny that drawing bubbles is the simplest and easiest way to fill your page. The simple doodle can make an amazing work of art, depending on the size and direction of the bubbles you choose. It’s really easy to draw and, as you can see, it can really look amazing. Side note: did you know you can’t say the word bubbles to sound angry? Try it out π
Clouds

It’s September. The summer sun is on its way out and the clouds are appearing more frequently. At least here in Croatia. Drawing clouds is one of the easiest themes you can choose for your September Bullet journal because it doesn’t require any level of expertise, all you need is a pen and some blue color (although, you can leave them blank too) and that’s it!
Cupcake

I don’t know about you, but colder days bring in me the desire to bake and eat, wellβ¦everything π And, I mean, who doesn’t like cupcakes?! I know I love them and I think they are a super cute idea for your September Bullet journal. And they are not so hard to draw! You can choose any color palette you like for the cupcake – and any topping, too π
Lavender

I must admit I never knew how easy and simple it is to draw a lavender! All you need to do is press the tip of the brush pen on the paper enough times around the stem to form a lavender and that’s it. That’s it! I’m loving this theme idea. I think lavenders will be much more present in all my journal entries now π
Mountains

Although it looks complicated because it looks beautiful, this is also simple to make. All you need is a compass and a black pen. Draw some peaks and choose all the shadows to be on the same side. Mountains are not in a straight line so your lines can be as crooked as you wish. Fill the shadow part with lines in any direction you want. And that’s it. An amazing yet easy September Bullet journal theme idea.
Pizza

Do I really need to explain why pizza is an amazing idea for your September Bullet journal? Or any other month of the year? Yes, that’s what I thought π So, pizza. Pizza is always a good idea and I don’t know a single person that doesn’t like pizza in some form. Therefore I thought it would be great to make it a theme for the September Bullet journal. To draw a pizza all you need to know is how to draw three basic shapes: a triangle, a rectangle, and a circle. Put it together, add some color and your pepperoni pizza is ready π
September soundtrack

Although I’m always trying to savor that summer feeling as long as I can, with music and cocktails, eating ice-cream and a lot of fruit, it’s inevitable that the lively summer melodies will soon be replaced with more melancholic ones. But this cassette is more of an eighties type. Hence the colors π Do you remember cassettes at all? Do you remember rewinding it with a pencil? It’s amazing how far we’ve come since then. Well, another great idea for a September Bullet journal.
Watercolor trees

A few months ago I discovered this “watercolor style” of drawing and I love it! My notebooks unfortunately can’t handle watercolors so I draw this with my brush pens. And it works great, too. The gist of it is to draw shapes with color and doodle some flowers, shapes, or in this case trees on and around it. And that’s it. Another easy September Bullet journal theme.
Back to School
Although the school already started in a lot of countries, here in Croatia, it’s custom for school to start at the beginning of September. Since I’m not really an expert in drawing more complicated things and always seek ways to simplify everything, I thought this easy September Bullet journal theme is an excellent idea. As you can see in the photos of my Bullet journal, my “Back to School” theme works great for a monthly or a weekly log and I can imagine it as pencils with different colors for a mood tracker.
Well, that’s it! Share with me your choice for the September Bullet journal! You can share it in the comments or use a #monthlyuglyjournal on Instagram.
