It’s almost January and now is the best time to start working on your Bullet Journal monthly spread. But first, you need a perfect cover page! I’ve gathered ten ideas for your January cover page and drew them myself (gasp) just to show you that if I can do it – you can do it too! 😉

1. Fireworks rockets
Since January is the first month of the year, a celebration is in order. And no celebration can go without fireworks! This idea I found from coloringpage.eu. I drew them by their template and colored as I wanted. It’s super simple yet super cool 🙂
This one is like a sequel to the first one – maybe I could’ve made them together as one cover page 🙂 I must admit that I absolutely love fireworks and I feel like a little kid every time there are fireworks. In my town is a famous Croatian fireworks manufacturer so you can imagine our New Years celebrations 🙂 The idea for this cover page came from lettersbydanni.
It’s officially winter and it really started to be cold here in Croatia. Hence the snowflakes. I loved this idea by mashaplans. She made it for her December cover page but I thought it suitable for January too.
4. Make a wish
Square Lime Designs made this cover page for September but somehow it suits a January cover page too. It’s a bit magical and very lovely – bottles full of wishes and magic that awaits in the new year.
I really wanted to have at least one cover page with stars – although I really don’t know how to draw them :)) and when I saw this idea on Pinterest I knew I found the one I wanted to include. It’s not complicated to make and looks absolutely amazing!
Traditionally January is a month for skiing – a lot of people go skiing since it’s still the school break. Also, in January, the FIS World Ski Cup is in full swing, and there’s a race here in Zagreb too, it’s the Snow Queen Trophy and it’s always traditionally held the first weekend in January. Of course, I needed to make a cover page on that subject, too 🙂
You can’t start a new year without resolutions or wish list for the year ahead. I must admit I had a bit of a problem with this cover page – I couldn’t find any ideas so I had to make my own and I really didn’t know how to draw a wish list. So I made up this simple but nice cover page.
8. Light bulbs
I always associate light bulbs with good ideas and most people have great ideas in January for the year ahead. I absolutely loved this idea I found on My Inner Creative so I had to include it on this list. It’s kind of magical, don’t you think?
9. Art Deco
Well, it’s the twenties again so it was inevitable that at least one cover page would be in Art Deco style. And this I found on Pinterest is the simplest I could find – and it looks so amazing, I love it! While searching for ideas I realized I really like Art Deco.
10. The Great Gatsby
Yes, Art Deco again 🙂 I wanted to something in The Great Gatsby style and this by bujo.by.marieke was exactly what I was looking for! I decided this to be a cover page in my Bullet Journal.
